I'm worried...........
My job for the past 6 months has been sooo stressful. So stressful, I don't sleep at night and get heartburn on my drive into work. I am worried that this is a reason why I am not getting pregnant. Does anyone else have this problem? If so, what do you do to relieve stress?

Re: I'm worried...........
I've heard of acupuncture helping with this while TTC, or yoga. I don't do either of them, but luckily this time of year is slightly less stressful than April-October (which is a busy time for our industry). I'm hoping it helped me with relaxing a bit more than usual this past month!

Re: I'm worried...........
I think more and more that this is my problem but I clearly haven't been able to solve it. I do hear a lot of girls mention (like above) acupuncture. Good luck.

Re: I'm worried...........
it is a quick little nothing and then it goes away. It doesnt hurt while its in, actually you cant feel a thing. I find i get very warm and immediately relaxed. I close my eyes and do imageryto help it along. I imagined myself relaxing, or whatever. I tend to fall asleep during my sessions.. Find a good reputable accupuncture doc. Mine is out of Jericho..

Sounds awesome! I am definitely going to start looking for one. Thank you so much for the idea.

Re: I'm worried...........
I had a very stressful job while TTC my first and didn't get pg for 9 months. I finally left for a much less stressful job, and I got pg within 3 months of TTC again. So I totally believe that stress can affect TTC. I think you should definitely look into doing something like acupuncture or yoga.

Re: I'm worried...........
I've gone for a reflexology massage. I'm in suffolk and there's a place inselden for $26 for anhour. Also, focus on diet. Omega 3 fats are really helpful. If you don't like fish there are supplements but many prenatals contain them. So i'd talk to your Dr. before adding them. Also, try to focus more on your hobbies. Thinking about work and it's effects on TTC will only make yourself more stressed.

Re: I'm worried...........
I find cardio exercise to be the best stress reliever. I actually went to an emotional IQ seminar where they said that stress releases a toxic chemical in your body called cordisol. And the only way to fight it is through cardio exercise. It sounds a little hokey, but for me it works.
