I'm sure this has been done before but....
who are you going to tell first when you get your BFP? (After DH of course!)
I just realized that the second to know will be my morning Starbucks Barista! When I switch to decaf they are going to wonder what is up!
After that will be our families...I'm trying to come up with a cute way to tell them. I guess it all depends on when we get pregnant. My dad and DH's mom have birthdays within a week of each other in November, so If it is the end of Oct/beginning of Nov, I may get them a happy birthday Grandpa/Grandma card. If sooner ( ) then I'll have to come up with something else.

i'm really hoping that once i get my BFP i'll be able to hold out until the end of the 1st trimester b4 telling anyone besides DH. my mom has the biggest mouth in the world! she cannot be trusted w/ a secret! lol
if i am able to keep it a secret, the 1st person i will tell, besides DH, will be my parents and then his parents.
then i'll have to tell my job. but since i'm petite, i hope i can make the whole 3 months b4 having to fess up! lol

Re: I'm sure this has been done before but....
We live OOT and would love to be able to tell our parents in person when we are in NY for the holidays. Hopefully we get our BFP soon & this can happen! I think we would tell BIL & FSIL after we found out, they live near us, and I would swear them to secrecy until we told our parents. It would just be really hard to not tell them, b/c we see them all the time. I prob would also call my bff & tell her b/c she knows we are ttc. I am horrible w/ keeping secrets & so is DH so it shall be interesting to see how it plays out. Also my dad & MIL both have a big So I think the longer we wait to tell them the better. I want to make sure we hear a heatbeat b4 we tell anyone.
I was thinking of doing a countdown clock for our parents with the due date. Or maybe a special frame or something? Possibly getting the dog I'm going to be a big brother t-shirt. I really want to make sure we tell them in person though not over the phone. We will be able to hide it a little longer not living in NY.

oh my goodness - there's no way that I'll be waiting to spread the news. I'm planning on calling my mother the second I get a BFP. lol. There's no way i could keep it from my parents and sisters (we are sooo close). Dh's mother, however, has a bit of a mouth so I fear telling her too early. I woudn't want me or her to be sharing it with the WORLD until after a couple months, kwim? Like I wouldn't tell my friends at work until a little later (if I can help it)
