And getting those eye drops in his eyes are tough. He screams bloody murder. I hope I did it right. My mom lives next door so later on i'll have her help me.
That bottle is so small that I hope it lasts me a week. Because DH forgot to add DS to the prescription card (don't know how that happened) I had to pay $69.00...for a tiny little bottle. I called the insurance so that's how I know that his name was never added. They are going to send us forms to fill out. Then I gotta send it back to them with a copy of his Birth certificate and the receipt of the purchase and they said they will refund us the money...minus the co-payment, which is $15.00.
Did you get the prescription from CVS? And has it been 10 days? The same thing happened to us with those eyedrops (they were $79.99!) if you fax those forms and call they will add him immediatly and then you can get the money back from CVS if it has been less than 10 days.
And how much are you putting in? DS had pink eye and we used the drops for 10 days, 3x per day and there is DEFINATELY more than half left in the (TINY) bottle
No I got them at the local pharmacy by my house...

Well, I'd still ask them if they would refund within x amount of days. Your DH is a teacher, right? My is FDNY EMT and I would hate to wait for my money back from their prescription plan

We got the enrollment papers from the insurance the next day after requesting them. So maybe it won't take that long...

Re: I'm really worried and concerned...
There is a virus going around, I think called 'adaniod' and pink eye is the major symption with a possible fever. When pink eye is viral it looks worse like a black eye that is swollen and puffy and has gunk in it and it takes longer to go away then bacterial pink eye. My 3 year old DD had this in Dec, the pink eye itself took about 6-7 days to go away, but her eye didnt look normal for about 2 weeks which the dr said was normal.

His eyes do look dark underneath but I just think it's from the lack of sleep every night. I just wonder how long can he go sleeping like this. Last night he spent the entire night tossing and turning and not being able to settle down to a deep sleep.
When you say 2 weeks is this 2 weeks after the pink eye went away?

Dark circles around the eyes can mean allergy. He may be allergic to something in the environment or what he is eating.

Yeah but he's had so many restless nights where he doesn't settle down. Couldn't it be lack of sleep. In the morning they are puffy and baggy.

But is he awake? Like eyes open??? Looking around the room, playing, etc?

Re: I'm really worried and concerned...
Maybe he wants to be in his own crib. I know he say he is restless but if he isn't crying and he is just tossing in his crib, I would leave him. Also, maybe he is to stimulated at night and can't fall asleep. Maybe try dimming the lights and winding down the day about an hour before his bedtime. Maybe he needs an earlier bedtime. If kids are overtired they won't go to sleep right away.

Re: I'm really worried and concerned...
Again, this is TOTALLY NORMAL behavior for a baby/toddler. Up until Alex was 15 months old, she would wake at all hours of night, ready to play. In fact, several of her classmates, at 2.5 years old, STILL wake up and want to play during the night. If he isn't crying, and isn't upset, then I don't see a reason to stress yourself out unnecessarily.
And, if you DO have a gut instinct there is somethng wrong, then just consult with your pediatrician.

I have tried earlier bedtime. We've been going to bed early all week. The prolem is not him falling asleep, it's staying asleep...

He's not crying but he's not sleeping either even though his eyes are closed. I don't think it's pink eye anymore that's bothering him. Maybe it is the teething. Doctor did say the second molars maybe getting ready to come in. But it's been going on for almost 2 and a half weeks??? he's had a few bad nights when teething but nothing like this. And nothing, absolutely nothing works. Usually tylenol helps but not this time. Now he's starting to do the same thing during his naps.

Re: I'm really worried and concerned...
Have you called the doctor?
Honestly, I'm really not sure what kind of response you are looking for here. It seems like no matter what anyone posts to help you, you totally disregard it and continue asking the same question over and over again.
