Im out & out for a while

Well here it is...my vent
We went away for the week and af was due when I mentioned that I would probably have it while away my dh asked if I can take the pill to skip it (which is what I use to be able to do) I looked at him like he had 8 heads and said no. I had told him I my prescrip was up and was not renewing it showed him the last day I took it (which was 3 months ago) figured we were actually trying just no loniger preventing. (I was hoping)
I dont know if he just blocked it out of his head or just forgot but he wasnt exactly thrilled stating that he was exactly ready wants to wait just a few more months to square up a few more bills.
Of course now we are away and Im late! Getting excited and nervous now.

AF came and is here with avengance!
So Im out and apparently out for a while!
DH doesnt realize that as time goes on it may become harder and harder.
I have endo and being this is my 4th cycle off the pill the endo seems to be coming on more and more. My symptoms are getting worse each month! Plus each month being off the pill can make my endo get worse!
Im so fustraited, up set, depressed and the cramps are so bad...Chat Icon

how can he be so stupid...did he just ignore the hundred conversations about coming off the pill after 20yrs! having endo and going on 34yrs old, he wants kids and thinks that when he is ready its just going to happen right away (its already been 4 months and nothing has happend...doesnt that prove its not going to happen right away and the long we wait the harder it may be!

Chat Icon I've been off the pill a few months more than you, and understand your frustration. But it takes your body (for many) a while to regulate after the pill. It may be easier for you in a few months after your cycles regulate and you can predict O more regularly, and DH feels less strssed about finances. It is never the perfect time, but I think many of us feel especially unpreparared financially with the state of the economy.

But I know how frustrating it can be. Chat Icon

Re: Im out & out for a while

i am so truly sorry for your situation.

While I don't have endo...i went through a similar issue with Dave and his 'readyness'. He kept wanting to put it off, etc...

I finally sat down, with a boat load of information and told him how i felt, from the heart. I told him the facts about conception (how it can take a HEALTHY couple 7-9 months to conceive) and i'm FAR from healthy (which he's more than aware of). I informed him about the 'age' issue - i was 33 at the time.

He asked me for a few days to think about what i told him and the next morning (I told this to him at night) he called me at work and said that he was ready. He said that he appreciated me telling him my fears(about having problems) and laying out the 'facts' for him so that he could get a better understanding of what it takes. It has been 6 months and every once in awhile he tells me, 'i'm glad we started back then'...

I'm so sorry. Have you thought about speaking to a gyno or RE about your endo? Maybe you can try to get that under control and make sure its not interfering with your ability to get pregannt before you guys actually start trying again.

Re: Im out & out for a while

I'm so sorry. Maybe you need to talk to him again. I do not believe in forcing/pressuring a guy into parenting, but at the same time, why should he get all the say?! You're the one who has to be pregnant for 9 months, you're the one who has to give birth, and chances are, you'll be the one doing the bulk of the work. So why should he get the final word? I'm sorry for the anger, can you tell I've been in your shoes? Chat Icon
