I'm new
Hi everyone. I've been reading these boards for months and DH and I just seriously discussed last night TTC in the very near future. I am on the pill and was going to stay on it for one more month but thinking I'd like to be off of it for 3 month prior to TTC I think I just finished my last pack. I'm nervous and excited all at the same time.
I know TTC can be a long road and though it is best not to "try to" conceive in a certain month, since we are just starting that's what we will try to do. So I am asking for help. I don't really know where to start. Chart and temping are words I've heard but never really understood. Any advice is appreciated. I am due for AF tomorrow and our optimum conveing months would be end of Nov-January.

First of all, welcome! Second, keep in mind that when you go off BCP there is a chance you could get PG unless you use a backup method. But if you do plan to go off now, you will give your body a chance to regulate which will make things easier for you when you decide to start trying.
i highly recommend you read the thread on here called "The official everything you need to know...". i will bump it for you. I read the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility as well and found it very helpful. HTH!

As PP mentioned - it's highly possible to get pregnant after going off the birth control pill. My doctor & i were discussing this yesterday, as a matter of fact. She said with some infertility treatments, they will 'cycle' you on the pill for a few months, to get you to force egg production after going off of it. So be aware, it COULD happen.

Thanks everyone! The official everything you need to know was VERY helpful.
Thanks for the tip about getting PG after coming off of BCP. I would like to do that but would rather have the pills out of my system befor TTC so we will use a back up method.
