I'm home now but....
the baby is still in the hospital. Right before we were about to be released, they noticed his biliruben numbers were off, which indicated that something was wrong with his liver. He basicially has a type of jaundice that is most likely caused by an infection or metabolic/enzyme problem. Yesterday he was transferred to Univ of Chicago Children's Hospital NICU. They have ruled out any structural or blockage problems in his liver, so that's a good thing. We should get the results of all the bloodwork by Tues and then they can start identify what's causing his numbers to be so high. Looking at him, you wouldn't know that there's something wrong. He's not uncomfortable, he sleeps, eats and has regular bm. His doctors are fairly confident that he has an infection that will either resolve itsself or can be treated with medication. God-willing he'll be home next week.

Jayden Xavier was born on Tuesday, March 27th at 5:21pm. He was 8lbs 13oz and 21 in. I had an awesome induction and easy labor.

Stay positive...likely it's something simple!
I had jaundice as a baby and guess what the treatment was? Put me in the sun...this is only made funnier by the fact that I am like 2 shades darker than an albino when I don't tan. ok, maybe 4.

Jackson was born with jaundice and we had to put him on a billi bed (light therapy) for a few days. Thankfully we were able to do this at home. We also had to take him in every day during that time to get his billiruben levels checked. I hated seeing him get his heel pricked 
I hope your little guy is ok and comes home soon!

Congratulations!!!!!!He's beautiful (not that I had any doubt that he would be seeing his brother).
Keep repeating "He's getting the care he needs. He's right where he's should be." It sucks leaving them in the hospital.
that his enzymes level out as soon as possible.
