Thanks for everyone checking in .. I wasn't really sure where to put this update. I figure anyone who is following will see this so here we go. Sorry if this is a long ramble........
We went to a sono 2 weeks ago and saw 2 sacs with yolks. I was stunned. Of course when you put back two genetically normal babies, you can't be too shocked to learn that both implanted. It seemed too good to be true.. and it was.
We went back last week and saw two babies measuring PERFECTLY with identical heart rates at 127 each. My dr said he couldn't find a negative thing on the sono if he tried. Still, I went home hesitant. I spent the following night crying for no reason at all, just my fear of losing what we had the day before. I knew I was being irrational and that my pessimism was completely out of left field.. Well... then last night, I started bleeding. I had been through this before and was pretty certain both would still be fine. I spent the evening reassuring my dh and my mom that all will be fine today at my appt. I was nervous, but I was pretty sure today would be good.
If anyone here goes to Dr.Kofinas, you know that when the sono techs do their thing you just kind of watch and speculate but they're not big fans of you asking questions while they do their work. I pretty much knew what I had coming to me before they even said it but it was torture waiting for the confirmation. Baby a stopped growing a week ago, probably (literally) right after my last appointment.
Baby b is measuring ahead by a day with a heart rate of 158. I have a small clot near my cervix and on bed rest till next week to make sure it doesn't expand.
Today just brought so many horrible memories back being told there's no heartbeat. I've been here before and I thought genetic testing would be our ticket out of that ever happening again. I wish genetic testing was described to us better. Basically, it tests for chromosomal issues, but not syndromes. Go figure. Of 7 embryos tested, 3 were genetically normal and of those 3, at least one has this "syndrome"  My first baby had a syndrome too. He was genetically normal but very sick and didn't make it regardless.
I feel like a broken machine. I know we have reason to celebrate because baby b is doing pretty freakin awesome. (a  by the way.. which we know from the testing).
I'm just so scared that something will happen to him now. Today brought back so many memories fresh in my mind. I know what my friends will say is that I should just be thrilled to have one baby still doing well, but it's forgetting the fact that even still, I lost a baby today. I can only hope that baby b hangs on tight... our true miracle baby. Anything can happen. I'm just so scared....

You have been through so much and I think all your emotions are completely normal.
My best advice it to take it one day at a time and give yourself complete permission to have all the emotions!!!!
It is ok to be sad you lost a baby...and it is ok to be happy the little guy is doign well. There is not right and wrong here.
Praying for the little guy!!!! You are a fighter and I'm sure he is too!!!!!

Thanks everyone, I just don't know how to feel anymore. I'm trying to hope for the best..... I'm trying to be realistic... I guess I'm just trying to remain neutral till we're at a safer point, whenever that is.  Would you believe after everything we've been through, I went to Baby Gap the other day and bought two onesies? I thought the power of positive thinking would help them pull through... All I can say is have to take home baby b. I don't know how I'm going to make it between sonos now, especially on bed rest. See.Time.Crawl.

I am so sorry for your loss, but thrilled that is hanging tough and sounds like he is thriving. Having been on bed rest myself, the things that got me through it were having a routine. Can anyone stop by with lunch? Do you have anyone who can make a regular daily morning and afternoon phone call? I took up knitting. I got a lot of magazines, newspapers, and books. I took up solitaire. I was stuck on left side only bed rest as it is healthier for the baby. I also got a tiny mini fridge for my bedroom so I could have cold drinks (water, oj, pineapple juice) when I wanted them.

I was on bedrest for 18 weeks with DS. If you don't already have one I highly suggest a nook/kindle!!
