I'm going to toot my own horn right now
I met with yet another OB at my (very large) practice. After giving him the heads up that I want to go for a VBAC, a decision which I have gotten a lot of support for so far, he told me that they like to schedule c-sections for repeat C-section women at 39 weeks, and for VBAC women at 40 weeks.
Now, I know this is common practice at a lot of offices and it's one I do not agree with. Due dates are not set in stone. I informed him that while I have no problem with another C if I need it, I did not feel comfortable scheduling it in advance like that, and as long as the baby and I were being monitored closely (NSTs, etc.) and we were both doing well, I wanted to see if I could go past that (my comfort zone, and that of the other OBs, is 41 weeks).
He didn't really say anything to that... I think he was surprised. But he did tell me that I could get "off the merry go round" of labor  at any point and request a C. So that's good to know 
I'm just very proud of myself for sticking up for what I believe is right, and not being "bullied" (for lack of a better term) by an OB that only met me for the first time tonight.
Just wait - I'll have a growth sono at 36 weeks and DD will be breech

You were informed and stood your ground and sometimes we tend to just "do as we're told" by drs.

Good Job LB. As long as you are both doing well, there shouldn't be any issue with them letting you go until 41 weeks. I bet you'll go earlier than that on your own though.

Good for you!
I was also bullied by a doctor in the hospital that I only met once. I stuck to my guns and thank goodness I did bc I don't think things would have ended well.
