Im finally here!
Hi everyone,
Its been quite sometime since I've been on LIFamilies...new name and all..
This is my first time posting in TTC
Its offical though! I keep telling myself we're not actually trying..just no longer preventing.
I am nervous! I stopped taking the pill over 3 months ago so if I get my AF I will be in my 4th cycle off the pill.
I told my dh I was stopping the pill my prescrip was done and Im going to be 34 (on the pill for 19yrs) and I have been diagnosed with endometriosis so I am nervous!
I signed up on fertilityfriend which I think is really cool just to keep track of everything.
I understand how it all works but not sure about checking the cervix (not that I cant do it Im just not sure exactly what Im feeling?)
Any advice?
I know we bd around ovulation (if I actually ovualated) and have high hopes Im so tempted to take a test but I know it would be too soon)
What is the earliest you could take a test?
Thanks ladies...Im so excited to be here but nervous that Im too excited!

Welcome! 
How long have your cycles been since coming off the pill?
It's not unusual for your cycles to vary greatly after coming off bcp.
I wouldn't test until AF is due! I know it's difficult to wait, but it will save you from much unnecessary anticipation and disappointment!

My cycles
the 1st didnt really keep track to well I was spotting heavy a week before af was due (while on the pill) which is also another reason I decided to stop. The week af was do I was very light (nothing was normal so I took a test just to be sure)
2nd cycle was 27 days
3rd was 25
Im on cd16 now (hey I finally know what you guys are talking about with the lingo/cycle codes)
(Right now I feel slight pressure miny cramp, unless its ovulation, or something else, most likely anticapation)
My biggest problem is I think my endometriosis has a cycle of its own. My last af was one of the worst I've had in many years...exhaustion/fatigue/sever cramps and one of the heaviest flows (I really havent had much of a flow in years)

BTW... Welcome! Since I forgot to say that b4. 
Personally, I'm waiting till AF is due or I'm late to take a prego test since I was getting BFN b4. I'd rather see my AF b4 a negative line, but everyone is different. I here ya on the cycles lingo. I was just a lurker b4 and now getting it more.  Good luck!!

the dh made me nervous a few weeks ago...after telling him I was stopping the pill 2 months later I told him that most likely I was going to have af when we go to Florida, he asked if I can just take the pill to skip that month...I calmly looked at him and said ah NO.
never elaborating on the fact that I hadnt taking it in over two months.
(I use to take the pill continuously for 3 months for the endo to skip af for a few months)
I still havent clarified that I've been off for almost 4 months!
Although baby talk and kid talk has been quite frequent from him...just yesterday he said he wanted to boys or a boy/girl but he would like a boy first, so I do believe he know but niether one of us seems to want to discuss it further (just do our thing and hope for the best) although I can seem to do that I have to keep track for my own sanity if it doesnt drive me insane!
The scary thing is medical insurance!
and the fact that we dont have any. Which is the main reason why we havent really tried. We wanted to wait for the insurance but with the way the economy is and my age & female issues if we keep waiting it might not ever happen!
Speaking of insurance is anyone else in that situation? no insurance and do you have any plans if you do get a bfp what you would do?
