I'm confused
I went onto mymonthlycycles.com to play around with their calendars and to browse the website. Since we officially started TTC last month I entered last months period as well as this months period.
The breakdown is this....
Sept - 1st day of period 9/16
Oct - 1st day of period 10/12
O-day = Tomorrow!?
From the website:
Your Criteria: Last period: October 12, 2009; Average cycle length: 25 days; Luteal phase: 14 days.
I'm on CD 11 and they are calculating that I will O on CD12??? I'm so confused. Help????

Wow! That's early for ovulation. To be sure I would go out and get some OPK's and start using them tomorrow so you don't miss your surge. It could be earlier or even later then you anticipate. In the meantime, on the outside chance you do ovulate early, I would start with the BD now so you don't miss any opportunity to get pregnant this month. Good luck!

I totally plan on it! But I'm just confused because how can MMC.com determine my luteal phase from just 2 months of charting????

They are probably looking at when you got AF last month and what day you got it this month and based on the days in between they have calculated your cycle length and estimated your ovulation. However, if you're like me my cycles were never the same month to month. Also, I know that for myself I ovulate late (anywhere from CD20 - CD26) so without the OPK's I would miss my surge every time. Since they are just using a best guess your best bet is the OPK's. Lots of luck!

You can change the length of your LP if you think you O later. That'll affect the recommendations MMC makes for you. 14 days is the default LP.

I also use MMC.com, 14 days is the default. You can change it on there.
Your lucky you have short cycles...the more chances you have to TTC. Before TTC'ing I had a short one (avg. 26) now it's 29. UGH!

Is your cycle regularly 25 days? If so, ovulating on day 12 sounds about right!

i definitely recommend using OPKs. Each month I was BDing around what I thought was the right time. This month, I tried the OPKs and I was ovulating 4-5 days before what those sites said. I could have been just for this month, but I think the OPKs are the most accurate.

Well, I bought OPKs last night. I test negative for ovulation. I'll keep testing to see what happens.
My last cycle was 26 days, so I estimated that I would O this weekend. I guess I'll just have to BD eeeevery single night
