I'm back from getting my tooth pulled...
Like this weekend hasn't been stressful and scary enough--- I totally forgot until yesterday that I am getting my tooth pulled this morning. I've had all 4 of my wisdom teeth pulled already but that was done by an oral surgeon, and I wasn't awake for the process. I'm getting horrible anxiety and have no idea what to expect with this. Anyone ever have this done? I had a root canal on the tooth 5 years ago and it's failed. Please keep me in your this morning and let me know any tips or anything I should know. TIA!!
  Update towards bottom.

Good luck, it shouldn't be too bad. I've only had one tooth pulled before but it was a breeze.

Re: Leaving in 10 mins to get my tooth pulled...
Thanks! It wasn't nearly as bad as I thought. The dentist took 1 tool to pull off the crown and he ended up pulling out my tooth!!! He was done w/in 10 mins of my sitting down. It didn't hurt at all--- he said that it was so infected that I ended up having bone loss from it so it was good that it was pulled. Aside from feeling like someone hit me in the head with a sledgehammer I feel ok-- my area around my tooth doesn't hurt at all--- but it does feel weird now that it's missing.

That weird feeling will get better with time. I had a molar pulled due to a crack in it - and eventually you get used to it being gone. The gap has actually gotten smaller over the years too- my other teeth kind of shifted into the space...
