I'm at a loss.
I'm not quite sure what to do anymore. DH and I will have been trying for a year in November. I had been temping since December. I ovulate at different times during my cycle - I'm not consistent from one to the next. This, as you can imagine, is so frustrating and it was causing so much stress for me. Finally two months ago - I stopped temping and we went a cycle without trying. This cycle, I didn't temp but I bought an OPK - which turned out to be a dud. I'd hold it for four hours and when I took the test there was always an error. So I went solely on CM. DH and I BD'd for four days over what I am confident was my most fertile time. I'm four days from AF and I just don't "feel" pregnant - and I've read that women usually do. I got a BFN, yesterday morning - as much as I tried and tried to see a line.
I read somewhere that you can feel some pain when you ovulate - I'm obviously a spaz when it comes to my own body - because I have NO IDEA! I don't feel anything out of place.
I think it may be a question of bad timing with us - but I have no idea. It may be that it's just not in the cards for us and I'm feeling a little disheartened.
I called my doctor today to schedule appointments for us both and I have a knot in my stomach.
I don't know why I'm even posting - I guess because I'd like to know if anyone has had a similar experience.

Re: I'm at a loss.
okay, first thing:
Second: ovulation pain is COMMON, yes, but NOT STANDARD. Not everyone feels it! Most women in know IRL do NOT feel it...
Third - i am pregnant now. I did not feel in the SLIGHTEST bit pregnant before I tested. The ONLY reason I tested was because i was 2 days late...i had not a single 'clue' that i was...i truly didn't even, 'have a feeling'. I'm not joking. My close friends FORCED me to pee on the stick... I didn't ever like doing that because every single month when I finally gave in and tested, I got AF the next day... It is possible to be pregnant without symptoms...just an FYI hon...
You did the right thing - you got in touch with your doctor. Just because you have been trying for a year does NOT mean it's not in the cards for you. My doctor put it in perspective for dave & I....
if you had PERFECTLY timed intercourse for a year straight and are both in perfect health....what are your chances for conception? the answer...50/50.

Re: I'm at a loss.
So you are having such a down day.
I don't feel any pains or anything around O. If that makes you feel better. You aren't alone.
You did the right thing you called the doctor.

Re: I'm at a loss.
I'm sorry you are so upset. I know how frustrating this whole process is.
Have you or DH had any testing done?
If you've been TTC for a year without getting pregnant, then I think it's time to see an RE.
The first step is usually SA for DH, then CD 3 bloodwork and maybe an HSG for you. If you want to talk, you can always FM me!

Re: I'm at a loss.
I agree with the other ladies, since you've been trying for a year, then it's time to see a doctor (preferably a RE if you want to be aggressive about getting pregnant).
Try not to go on what other women experience at times of ovulation, pregnancy, etc... you'll only drive yourself crazy. Even back in the days I USED to ovulate on my own, I never knew I was ovulating... meaning, no pains, no CM, etc...
Both of my times getting pregnant this year, I did not "feel" pregnant either. In fact, at 25 weeks pregnant, other than the noticable physical changes in my body, I don't necessarily "feel" pregnant.

I'm so sorry Mary. I hope and pray the doctor has some answers for you. Don't feel discouraged or that having a baby isn't in the cards for you. Please stay positive.
