Why is it every time I get off the phone with a doc I think of 9789873493 million questions I shouldve asked
Thank goodnesssssss for this board.
Maybe some of you can answer.
So I'm going to get bloodwork on cd4.
Is that to late in a cylcle to start clomid If not how long do I need to take it for
Will it be hard to get a prescription from the pharmacy that same day
Will I need to go back for a sono so they can see if I have any follicles or does it take a few cylcles for the clomid to kick in
Now for the IUI
How the heck does it work
Do I wait for a  then call them Do I go once or back to back
I know I can ask all of this on Thursday when I go but it seems soooooooooooo far away.
Help a dumb old broad out

Breathe, LOL!!
Ok, you cant start Clomid up to CD 5. You will still take it for 5 days, so CD 5-10 for you. They will call it inot a pharmacy for you for that day. Sometime around then (CD 10) you should get a sono to check for follies. You may need a few sonons depending on how they look on your first monitoring day. Then, you may or may not be told to trigger (an injection) to help pin point ovulation. Or you may be told to use OPK's. Def. ask the docotr or nurse what the protocol will be. Then your IUI will be scheduked either based on your + OPK or the trigger shot. As for 1 or 2 IUI's again, you wil have to ask what the protocol is.

This exactly...did you get the Ovidrel Shot or are you using OPK's; either way you are fine.

all this..i did clomid cd 5-9..i always got it same day
i just wanted toadd when u go for first sono and if they see nothing dont be nevous..u might need to go for another 2 before u r ready to trigger or ready to ovulate
and i got terrible hot flashes on it so dont worry bout those either
as for the iui..u r having a hsg done soon right?
very simil;ar in style but does not hurt at all i promsie
any question fm me..we have done 8 iui

don't worry we've all been there, its ok to start clomid anywhere from 2-5, you can just take the script to a drugstore to fill.. you will go back in for sonos to see how your follies are doing, also my first month there they just told me to use OPK's, i never got a smiley so the next month i started to take an hcg trigger shot to O (the nurse will order this for you through a fertility pharmacy)... i go to the same practice as you, they make you go in 24 hours after they give you the trigger shot for IUI, and do not do back to back IUI... good luck!

I guess my biggest fear is not getting a I always get one every month.
Could the clomid make me not get a ? Havent googled this yet
Do you think they would want to trigger to be safe or have me use the opk. My cd 21 bloodwork came back great so I do O
My hsg is on monday which is cd 8
do you think doing the iui the same week will be ok?

if you are O'ing on your own then you may not need a trigger. They may tell you to just use the OPK's and call when you get a positive. I never got a smiley so thats why I had to do trigger shots from then on. Good luck!

no trigger for me they want me to use opk.
they will tell me when to come in for monitoring and once i get a give them a call so we can do the iui the next day.
like the dope that i am i forgot to ask if the clomid would mess up the day i will O. I usually get a on cd12-14 then a temp rise a day or two later.
anyone care to answer for me? pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeee
tomorrow is for away for an answer

The clomid did not mess up when I normally O'd. My cycle was exactly the same before taking it and during.
I also never did a trigger. Just used OPKs (2x a day and sometimes more) so I wouldn't miss it.

i read somewhere that if you take clomid you should wait 3 days after the last pill to use an opk. true?
im starting on cd 5-9. just worried because this year the earliest i got a was on cd 12. past few months have been cd 13 or 14.

tomorrow is almost here so im sure im going to give the nurse a ear full but its still so far away!!!!!

I took clomid days 5-9 and I always got my smiley at 13 or 14.
I would start testing the first cycle a bit early just to ease your mind that you won;t miss it.
After a month or two I knew exactly which day it would be and could have guessed without testing.

I'm not sure about the clomid and iui's since I haven't started that yet, but as you know I just had my Hsg yest and last night had HORRIBLE cramps and today having very bad soreness. I can't imagine BD'ing feeling this way, I'm actually worried that we will miss being able to try this month bc of my pain and not being able to BD. But then again everyone has a different reaction to this test so you might be fine  Good luck!!
