If your toddler went through a phase of giving you a hard time going to bed...
How long did it last? I feel like I am doing CIO all over again. It's not bothering me that much (yet) but my DH is losing his patience.
Any advice on what to do? He will wake up hysterically crying at 3am - asking to read a book

Ryan barely sleeps thru the night anymore for the past 3-4 months I'd say Nightmare! I feel like I have a NB again. Kid took 6 months to STTN and then did beautifully from then til about age 3 and now he plays every game in the book before bed - have to pee, more milk, water, extra hug, etc. then once he goes to bed he'll wake up yelling for us for a specific stuffed animal, to put his sheet back on him , water, pee, etc - or be barely conscience but screaming and needing settling. Good times. Sorry, no hope here I'm hoping my 3 yr old STTN before I have another NB

ugh AJ did that about a month or so ago.. I wanted to die! We don't CIO so one of us ended up in there with her. Annoying.
Worse, she started asking only for daddy so he was suffering the most.
All of a sudden she stopped. Don't know why, don't care. It lasted about a month I think.

.
I love when they prefer Daddy in these situations. My DS prefers my DH help wipe him after #2 all the time. All good by me.

Re: If your toddler went through a phase of giving you a hard time going to bed...
I decided to take away his nap (which he doesn't always need) in hopes he would be exhausted and fall asleep faster. He called "mama! come in here!" for an hour and fell asleep, slept straight through the night.
When he wakes at night I only go in once to make sure he's okay and tell him I'm not coming back in
Any other advice?

You have no clue the freakin event bedtime is around here lately.
I literally could give you a step by step that took 5 pages. Even then, she still calls us and asked for things for a good 10 minutes before quieting down.
