if your house only has one living room....
just a living room and no den. how much seating does this room have?

we have a couch (regular sized three bottom pillow) and a reclining chair. We could use some more seating so while it was cold out we put our very nice wicker chair set and its been useful but too much for the room. We have a very LONG living room so we can have several seating areas.
When we buy new furniture my plan is to have two small accent chairs and a little larger couch. Sections are just not my thing.

my mom has one living room and she has a wrap around sectional. That is the only seating.

We have an L-shaped sectional that can seat up to 6 comfortably. We just got a storage ottoman that we can pull out if we need to. When we have guests, we usually grab a few chairs from elsewhere in the house.

We have a very large sectional we bought from a fellow LIF'er
we have had 8 people sit on it and then we have another piece in the corner that can seat 1 person.

We have a couch and a love seat. Our dining room is right next to the living room though so we have additional seating with that. We were going to do an L shaped wrap around couch but felt it would be too tight skince we also have an end table.

1 couch, 1 loveseat and a papasan
6 people can sit but its connected to my dining room so if people are sitting I'll grab a couple stools for extra seating...

Our sectional can seat atleast 8 people if we needed it to. When we have company we usually pull out these little ottoma/chairs that flank our fireplace. And for big events (like a big game or boxing fight) we can pull some charirs from the dining room since they're kind of connected.

We have an L-shaped living room / dining room. The living room has a sectional that seats 6, but if we have more people we often bring over chairs from the dining room.

Our living room is huge- 17x28.
Currently I have a 3 person couch and 2 huge chairs, but I could fit more if I wanted to.

We have a standard couch, love seat and recliner, plus additional floor space to place chairs or for people to lay on the floor.
