If your DC had slightly elevated lead levels.
DD has a lead level of 5. My doctor was not concerned....however, today I got a letter from the Dept of Health and I am worried.
I think I am going to recheck her at the three month mark of her last test ...
If you did a retest was the result better? did insurance cover it?
Thanks!

Re: If your DC had slightly elevated lead levels.
I am sure everything will be fine, but I would maybe get a lead test for your home. If I recall, you live in your parent's home? There could be issues with peeling paint or something of that nature due to the age of the home.
ETA: Sorry I don't have answers to your specific questions, but I am sure insurance will cover it if the Dept of Health is involved.

Re: If your DC had slightly elevated lead levels.
Thanks. I will look into the home lead test. We tested our water and that's fine. I feel so dumb for waiting this long because my ped. just said he wanted to check again in a year!

Re: If your DC had slightly elevated lead levels.
If you use your crockpot they leech a ton of lead. Cuisinart is the only safe brand. Also Melissa and Doug toys are bad with lead, especially the red painted ones.

I have read conflicting articles about this. Interested to see the article you have, because the others I have found have said that was older information and this is no longer true. Just want to know in case I need to buy a new one.
