If your child's bed has a box spring?

Do you have a low profile box spring or a regular box spring? Asking because we are going to get the girls twin mattresses (no headboards or furniture yet, just bedframes) and I wasn't sure if it's too high for a toddler to have a standard box spring. Chat Icon TIA

We have a standard box spring. My daughters are able to climb up. We have a bed rail to. The step on the box spring between and mattress and box spring and hoist them selves up lol. Older DD can now just climb up

Re: If your child's bed has a box spring?

We have a low profile boxspring for my 6 year old. We converted his crib into a full size bed. With the box spring it is high and initially he needed a stool to climb up on his bed. With a regular box spring it would have been much too high. His bed is such that you don't need a boxspring but I wanted his mattress to be well supported.

I'd go for a low profile especially if you don't know what kind of furniture you are getting.

Regular, and we put up bed rails, if he needs to get in we have a step stool.
