If you were house hunting
and saw a 3 BR house, does it look strange that one bedroom is half child's room and half office?
we used to have DH's desk in our large (unused) LR, but REA told us to take it out. We put it in DS#2's room.
I painted the room to look more office like, but DS's toddler bed and dresser are still in there. The dresser drawer broke, so I need to get rid of it. I put DS's clothes into his large closet. Do I keep the toddler bed? He doesn't like the crib mattress, so he goes to bed in DS#1's full size bed or ends up in our bed. He has not been in his bed for months.
Do I make it solely an office? office/guest room ad get DS a twin bed?
I've been so undecided since we were trying to sell and just figured I would make changes in the new house.

Honestly it wouldn't matter to me.
Because I know what I would be using the room for, not what the previous owners are using it for.
But I know some people have problems "visioning" things and need everything laid out for them. KWIM.
So since he isn't using the bed, I would remove it and show it as an office.

As a buyer, I wouldn't think twice. I would probably assume your agent told you to put the desk in the room. 
Yes, some people are stupid and see things only as they are shown: for example, "Oh, they used the linen closet as a book case" (and then think that is what THEY have to use it for, KWIM?)
but then I wouldn't want to deal with such stupid people, anyway.
I think you should be fine. When I was househunting, I saw some rooms that there "merged" together and I didn't think twice, and I can assure you it would never prevent me from buying a home if it were right.

I have to admit it might be a red flag for me that it's too small of a house...I would not merge the two. JMO, I would make it ONE or the other only. And yes, that quilt is nice !

I would make it soley an office. If I saw a dual purpose space, I might think that the house was tiny and there was no other place to put it.

all the hgtv shows have them turning all the offices into guest bedrooms only and freeing up space. so i would make it only a bedroom no desk.

thanks for all the feedback. What if I made the room look like an older kid's room who had a desk with computer?
DH works from home (systems engineer) so not having the desk and computer is not an option.
