If you're taking a childbirth class- where, and how much?
If you don't mind my asking?
My hospital offers one, for $200. Is this the going rate, or will I be able to find something less expensive?

I think thats about right... I'm taking it at my hospital (LIJ) and its costing us $190 to attend together (as a couple).

mine was at NYMehtodist (in park slope). it's both childbirth and breastfeeding for $150 for the couple.

The one at my hospital is 60 bucks for a 12 hour session (we go for 2 hours a week for 6 weeks)...we have taken 3 classes already, wednesday's one is the tour of L&D...so excited for that

We took the lamaze class today at CFA in Smithtown - it cost $165 i think for the both of us..We did the full day class and the woman Mary who runs it was amazing - so funy and nice..Even my husband who was wishing he was watching football atfirst today really enjoyed the class..we also took a newborn basics class there as well..the website is ..www.familycfa.com if that helps..goodluck!

Thanks everyone- I checked another nearby hospital and it's $175, so I guess $150-$200 is the going rate.

We paid $175 and the woman was GREAT!! If you are in the Smithtown area, FM me and I will give you the info on the lady we took our class with.
(p.s. even if you live further - she was very good and worth a trip!)
