if you switched daycares
what did you do if your child asked for the old teacher/school ?
I switched her this week, and I think she is really thriving & enjoying it. But naturally misses her old teacher.
Yesterday, we were near her old school, she said, " mommy can we go see ms. r? Pleaseeeeee. I miss her, I love her soo much." Broke my heart! We were going to get her haircut, so I mentioned that. She got excited about that.
Would you bring them to visit ?
I hate that she is missing someone and feeling that heartbreak :(

Re: if you switched daycares
I've done it twice. When we moved to NJ. He was only 14 months old so adjusted great and didn't even notice. At 3 he qualified for our local early learning center preschool program. I actually left my job and he started at the school. He had a very special relationship with his teacher at daycare. She even gave him a gift, had a pic of the two of them and wrote a poem. We did go and visit recently. I called the school first to see if it was ok. I plan on visiting again soon, but let him get more adjusted to the new school. I'd visit if she asked. As long as she's happy at her school now and the old daycare director is ok with it. Pick a good time like when they're outside so it's not interrupting anything.

thanks!
I like that idea, so we dont go into the building and the old school. Outside and see her friends and teachers.
