In due time. No pun intended.

Spinoff to: when did you look for pediatrician--when did you look at daycares?

How far along were you when you started to go to see daycare facilities? How many did you check out? Were there a lot of places with waiting lists? Is it true that many of them do not have part time programs for infants?

We started after I was 16 wks. A lot of them already had only 1 or 2 vacancies or vacancies that were available after I had to go back to work (12 wks).

We called and ended up seeing 3.

None of them had part-time infant programs. Actually one did but told us they would have to match you with someone else also part-time. It was next to impossible to organize since they gave no guarantee.

I'm doing it now and I'll need daycare starting in October.

Many places have waiting lists of 6 months or more, so I needed to look ASAP.

I have it narrowed down to two places and will decide by the end of the month.

I was about 5 months PG with my son when I looked. Most of the ones we saw had waiting lists so I was glad I did. This baby is already registered for Sept.

Daycare - started researching in December and put a desposit down on a spot in January. I was 20 weeks at that point...the baby will start in August/September.

Pediatrician - just made my appt to meet with them a few weeks ago. I started researching once I hit the 7 month mark. I meet with them in May.
