If you ordered/bought a convertible crib?
Did you get the kit to convert the crib at the same time or do you plan on waiting?
I read that I should buy it now, just in case the line is discontinued or the Mfg goes out of business (I got a Munire set so I don't see that happening anytime soon, but still)
What did you Ladies do?

You know I just got the crib delivered and I didn't realize we'd have to order a seperate kit. For the price they charged you would think it woudl be included. 
I am going to look into getting it now- for that reason- if the line is discontinued by the time we are ready to convert it, we are screwed.

We ordered the conversion kit - better safe than sorry - incase it gets discontinued or if our specific color gets discontinued.. KWIM?

We got the kit at the same time, the person at the store recommended it just in case the crib was cancelled down the line.

Ours is a convertible crib.
The salesperson told us to make sure to purchase the conversion kit within the next 6 months as thats is usually how long they will keep certain styles before discontinuing them.

We ordered it at the same time. The toddler rail was backordered for MONTHS - we got the furniture a month before I gave birth and didn't get the toddler rail until DD was about 6 months old! - and the store we bought it at has since closed, so I'm really glad we did.
We have a Munire set too.

We bought the entire kit. Too often a furniture line might be discontinued, then you're kinda screwed when you want to convert the crib.

Thanks Ladies, I am calling today and adding it to the order. I am not spending all this money on a convertible crib and down the line not being able to use it.

Order it now!!
DS is still in his crib at 19 months old, but we did buy the conversion kit when we bought the crib. The company that makes his crib is no longer in business, so if I had waited, I would have had to buy all new furniture!!

I got the conversion kit just in case. That said, I havent seen it since my shower  We're using the crib for baby #2 though so it doesnt matter.

i would definitely order it now.
i got my son the munire antgua set in 2007. when i went to buy the conversion kit and nightstand in late 2009 i learned that the set was discontinued. they ordered me a conversion kit from a different set, but the color is not 100% accurate. but bc the comforter is long it doesnt show thankfully. im out of luck with the nightstand though - i have called everywhere and no one has it!

We got the kit for the toddler bed, but the sales guy said that the particular manufacturer (Stanley) makes all of their bed frames compatible w/ the head/footboard, so we didn't need the kit for the FULL size bed at this time (we might later want a trundle, or the one w/ the drawers underneath or something........)

We ordered the conversion kit for the full bed only. I am not going to bother to convert to the toddler bed. I am going to go right from crib to full bed.
