I showed up a few minutes after the guests arrived....that way, I got to see everyone as I walked in...it was easiest for me that way.

My sister's is this Saturday (she knows about it, she picked the date), she's going to come after everyone comes. I told her to come around 12:15ish

Mine is Saturday too. My Mom is planning a few surprises so she and a few others are setting up at 12:30, Guests are supposed to arrive at 2:00.
I asked my Mom when I should arrive and told her I'd like to be able to greet people as they arrive, she said 1:30 so they can be all set up and I can be there a little ahead of the guests.
