If you have refinanced your mortgage...
did you let the lender choose the title search/closing attorney, or did you hire your own? We have to sign a form deciding either way, and we're not sure what to do. Thanks in advance for any advice!

The bank hiring the attorney is the attorney for the bank--not someone that will represent you. If you want your own attorney then you can hire one. The bank attorney will explain all the documents for you and it is not necessary to have one unless you want to. As for the title company in my opinion it doesn't really matter who they use unless you have a relationship with one that you like.
