If you have previously given birth at north shore...
do they give you anything when going home with your newborn (like information/pamphlets or diapers or anything?)

I delivered in sept and I got a cooler bag, baby's first year book, and blanket. my twins were in the nicu so I dont know what they normally do with diapers etc

I went home (both times) with a diaper bag, Baby's First year book, a blanket and the nurse came in with 2 HUGE bags of formula for me to take home. Also over the course of 2 days we collected all the formula and diapers we could get. The nurses just kept piling everything into the drawer of the bassinet the baby was in
And no we weren't charged for a single one

They def give you formula, information and throughout your stay will fill up the baby's bassinet drawers with vaseline, diapers, gauze, etc.

This is a dumb question but this bassinet thing you all mentioned... is it a hospital bassinet... or am I supposed to bring one or something?

It's a hospital thing - it's like a clear bin iwth a little mattress on top of a cabinet where they store things for you to use while you are there/take home when you leave.
