If you have family over for a few days.......
do you still maintain your routine?
(i.e. go to gym/nightly clases/hang out with other friends, etc.)?
Would you consider it rude? Why or why not?
I am just curious.............

Re: If you have family over for a few days.......
I still try my best to get to the gym during my usual weekly schedule...since I go at night though, I sometimes stray from that because I'd rather spend time with the out-of-town folks since they're only here for a short amount of time.
I don't consider it rude if I take a little time for myself, nor do I find it rude when I crash at relatives' houses and they take some time to do their own thing. Why? For me (and my fam), we can't be on top of each other 100% of the time. We love each other, but it helps to get out and clear your head, if only for a quick walk around the park or something.

Re: If you have family over for a few days.......
I would veer from my routine if I had family staying. I also wouldn't hang out with friends simply because I can see them anytime. I don't get to see my family all that much and I'd want to spend as much time as possible with them. Now, if I had a class that I had to attend, well then I would go but my family would never think that's rude.

Depends on what it was. I think if it was just going to the gym or something, I might give it up and spend the time with them while they were visiting. If I had something scheduled, like a doc visit, I would go.

Generally no. Unless it's a time when the kids are in school that I'd have to. however, before kids we would do everything needed before or after guests. That's just us. We wanted to spend as much time with them as possible.

we tend to veer from our routine for our guests. If it's a prolonged stay then we still do most of our regular stuff.
