I have 9 days of camping coming up with my entire family....
I don't even know WHERE to begin with packing!!!!!

Pack stuff you dont need for him everyday right now...like things you could put to the side:
diapers
wipes
clothes
some more clothes
bibs
some toys he wont notice are gone
tylenol & motrin just in case
thermometer just in case

Yeah - I started with this - its crazy - he goes through at least 3 shirts a day!!!!!

This is my 10th year going. Its a folk festival. This s when my hippy roots start showing!!!!
ages 24-29 I went alone - I went with friends, but we all were stupid party kids and I would be up all night, chill all day.... My boyfriend at the time had no interest, which was fine by me - nothing like flirting with those cute hippy boys! 
Age 30, brought my new boyfriend.
Age 31, brought him again.
Age 32, brought him only he was my husband, and my 2 stepdaughters. Unbeknownst to me, I had a little "stowaway" who came along for the ride. I couldn't understand why I was so exhausted that year.
Age 33, brought my husband, stepdaughters and one of my older stepdaughter's friends, and my almost 4 mt old.....
Now I'm an old fart at age 34. With a husband, 2 stepdaughters, one of their boyfriends, and a crazy almost 16 mt old.....
Wonder what age 35 will bring?????

We have an 11 day trip to Hawaii coming up... two islands... at least 120 diapers alone.
I have a packing spreadsheet... I'm not kidding Do you want me to send it to you?

I just got back from camping...we never had to bring so much. Sheets, extra sheets for when they get peed or vomitted on. If you are staying in a rental, foam mattress cover and hypoallergenic matress protector....mostly to protect you. Towels for showers, extra towels for showers for when they get dropped in the mud. Towels for swimming. Bug spray. Citrinella candles. Paper plates, plastic utensils, barbecue supplies, good sharp knife for cutting meat. Dish soap, woollite. Lots and lots of antbacterial wipes. Toilet paper. Paper towels. Groceries. Snacks. A plastic table cloth. If you are staying in a rental with bring febreze, lysol, and sheets to cover any furniture. If there is a lake or beach...rafts for everybody.
We had an awesome time camping. But holy sh@# loaded up the car.

We will have the eating thing covered since its a festival. Last year I brought everything Cailen owned and will probably do the same this year.... He goes through more outfits than Paris Hliton.....

We will be doing 17 hours of traveling in one day with a 6 hour time difference but at least, we'll have indoor plumbing
I wouldn't even survive a night in my backyard

oh please Tah-wee-ZAH fm me that spread sheet!!! I am going camping with my 8month old my 2.5 yo my 10 yo and 11 yo and a DH who really hasnt ever camped with kids before and i am freaking out that i am going to forget stuff!!!
and next year we are DRIVING TO FLORIDA!!!!

You are all nuts! (In the best way possible) I am having a hard time thinking of driving to VT for a week at a resort!
I am so nervous about going so far! I cannot go anywhere where I think there is the possibility that I won't be able to buy what I need!

Get a notebook and start making a list. Carry the book around with you and anytime you think of something you can add it. I cannot even begin to tell you what I forgot to pack (for myself) when I went away this weekend. I would have done a lot better if I had made a list.
