I have one pair of black high-heeled CLs that criss-cross in the front. I like them, but I don't get to wear them a lot. They are pretty classic though. I'm more of a bag girl....

See I'm afriad if I buy a pair, I won't wear them much. I wouldn't wear them to work. Maybe a wedding here and there, or a special occasion?
Also, when I buy expensive stuff, I tend to hoard it so it stays in perfect condition, rather than actually USE it  which kinda defeats the purpose.
So, anyway, I'm torn on whether I should buy a pair or not!

I wear mine almost everywhere. Work, going out, shopping. For the amount I have paid they need to be worn. 
Don't you worry about damaging them? Do you wear them on pavement? I've ruined cheap shoes and I'd be so afraid to ruin expensive ones.

In the end, they're shoes and they're meant to be worn.
I own 12 pairs (and obviously I need a serious ban) - I have 3 that are for going out / special events, and the rest are all ones to wear everyday.
I have 4 pairs of flats - I literally rotate them, and have had them for 2 years. Anytime the bottoms get worn down, I take them to the "approved shoe cobbler by CL" (thanks to Mrs. Q up there for sending them my way) immediately and get them resoled and cleaned.

Wow, so they put new red soles on? How long does an average pair last before they need new soles?
I am pretty much convinced i'm gonna buy a pair as a birthday present to myself. I just wish there was somewhere on LI to get them rather than nyc.

I use Leather Spa it's on 55th between 5th and 6th. It's a CL certified repair place. I would only go there, it's crazy when you go there at lunch time, the line with ladies and their red soles, pretty cool!!
