If you have a flat screen TV on the wall
What do you have under it ?

I'm having the same issue! Please help!
And ETA mine is mounted on BRICK and my fireplace is to the right under it so I can't get anything too wide and I also need to hide the wires...of course, none of this was thought of until after DH mounted it on the wall.

A wall mounted shelving system to hold our Cable box and DVD player and hide the wires. Under that is the fireplace.
It's not what I wanted- but until we finish the basement for a family room- that's how it has to be.

Oh I see, thanks. No way we can do that , so I guess we have to figure out something else , We were originally going to keep the bookcase under the TV , so we didn't bother to think of ways to hide the wires . But now that the bookcase is there I HATE the way it looks.

you can also cover the wires and paint the cover same color as wall

FYI.. it can prob be adjusted via some knobs or allen screws in the back

we wanted to mount our tv on the wall but we didnt want to go through the trouble of putting the wires in the wall so we just found a unit that we allowed us to mount the tv on the back - so the tv is still hanging, just not on the actual wall...
i hate exposed wires and i didn't think it would be worth the trouble to cut holes in the wall if we could find a unit we both agreed on...
a tv mounted directly on the wall does look nice though

They are behind the wall. You have to punch two holes in the wall. One at the top behind the TV and one lower behind the console table. Everything is in the console table.

I just bought DH a flat screen tonight and this is the tv stand we got for below it. We won't be hanging the tv on the wall just yet, but I think this will work for when we do as well.
