If you had an interview - updated
around second week of May and havent heard anything back, would you call or just assume that you didnt get the position?
I called and she said they havent made a decision yet - but I find that weird because she told me there would be a second interview with the principal. You think she hasnt decided which candidates she wants to go for the second interview?

I would call. It can never hurt and then you won't be left wondering.
I had an interview in April, that i keep following up on and they have not made a decision yet.
So there is hope!

I'd send a thank-you letter in the mail, and then call in the next week or so. It doesn't hurt to show interest. Who knows, your effort may be a deciding factor.
