If you had a c-section at Winthrop
Do they give you the inflatable leg thingies after surgery until you are walking around? And the post-partum support belt?

yes on the leg things no to the belt. I think that depends on your OB.

Thanks! When I had DD at Plainview 5 years ago, I did get both, I am wondering then if my OB requests it. I will mention it at my next appt!!
I am glad they do the leg inflators, I am so scared of getting blood clot, it makes me feel a lot better!

I had the leg things and the belt. But my OB requested the belt. I think it's called a binder.

I had the leg things, but they took them off the next morning because I had absolutely no swelling at all. No belt thingy.

HA and we have the same docs. Miller gave it to me with Jack but he isnt in the practice anymore. I think I remember Rosenberg coming in and saying he would get me one and I never got it.

I had the leg things. I did get the belt but only because my doctor had requested it for me. This was back in November.

I go to them as well and Rosenberg had requested the belt but I didn't use it. It was so uncomfortable.

If you had a c-section at Winthrop
All patients post op will get the compression device for the legs to increase circulation, decrease chance of blood clot formation while you are immobile. It's standard procedure. The abdominal binder will vary. I delivered in winthrop I'm 2009, had a c section and did not get a binder.
