What was your protocol and what drugs were used?

Re: If you did an FET...
Lupron for 3 weeks (I think started on day 21 of cyle in order to get a withdrawal bleed), then about a week or two of Estrace (oral E2) which I believe overlapped with Lupron for about a week, antibiotics and Medrol (steroid) a few days before transfer, then after transfer used endometrium 3X per day until Beta. Was switched to PIO when I got a postive beta b/c doctor found out I wasn't absorbing suppositories. Overall, I think preparation took almost 4 to 5 weeks before transfer. Wishing you LOTS of luck this cycle!!!

Re: If you did an FET...
Nope, only Lupron. I ovulated very regulary so I am not sure if that is why I didn't take BCP. I was always checked after ovulation to make sure that it did occur before I was able to start Lupron. I also didn't typically gets cysts on my ovaries unless I used stims so that wasn't a problem for FETs. Both FET cycles I got a BFP so I do know that the preparation for the FET worked for me.

Re: If you did an FET...
I can't remember exactly what my protocol was but I believed I used bcps, overlapped by lupron. Then delestrogen (I believe 2x/week) and PIO. I forget what else though... I'll see if i can locate my meds calendar... if I can I'll call or text you if I'm not near my computer.

Thanks.. that's more or less what I used for my last FET .. plus estrace and viagra (my lining needs all the help I can get)
I just don't know what else is out there. I feel like I'm on the most aggressive protocol and still get a crap lining

Re: If you did an FET...
I am a big believer in the neupogen. I took it subq, but even as a wash I've heard of it thickening lining. I usually have good linings, but it was MUCH thicker than normal much quicker and I'm sure it was from the neupogen. Other than that I'm not sure what else there is.

Did it get triple layered that way? That's my main problem now.
Basically, we're gonna try and do the best we can but if it doesn't make sense to transfer, we're gonna cancel the cycle.
I hope it doesn't come to that but then again, I don't want to "waste" perfect embies.
I can't believe I'm supposed to have an 8 month old... or be in my third tri with triplets and instead this is what I'm thinking about

Re: If you did an FET...
I know it sounds crazy but I saw Andy Kaplan for weeks leeding up to the transfer and he recommended eating red meat (which I didn't typically do) and antioxidants like blueberries, raspberries, tomatoes, etc. I wonder if BCP thins the lining at all? How many times per day did you use estrace and how much? I took it in the am and pm.

Re: If you did an FET...
My doctor also made me wait a whole complete cycle before starting an FET. It was torture, but after hysperstimulating I guess my body needed time to recover.

I took 2mg of estrace twice a day.
I also see Andy (though I am planning on stopping since it doesn't seem to be helping) ... and I did that too with red meat and berries. It helped my first cycle with the triplets, but not so much my 2nd IVF and first FET.

Re: If you did an FET...
Yup, it was definitely triple layered.
I hear ya. We should have 6 kids by now if all of our pregnancies worked out... plus 2 on the way. What a joke... now I'm just sitting here terrified asking DH if he thinks we'll ever even have any kids.. I will never understand any of this...
MANY MANY for you!

I did the fresh cycle in July, my lining was crappy so we froze everything and went straight into the FET. My lining was still crappy but I insisted that I did NOT want to cancel the cycle since we already canceled the fresh cycle the month before. We transferred anyway and here I am again..........
I asked if taking a break would benefit me at all and he said no.
I'm just so frustrated and desperate at this point. I told my dh I wanna adopt a puppy, which doesn't even make sense because I don't even really like dogs!! That's the desperation talking

I've already started looking at various options.....

Re: If you did an FET...
I don't have faith for me right now... but I still have it for you.
I can't bring myself to look at other options right now. I told DH that I'm sure the day he told his parents about our loss (what a shock it was for them.. they didn't know we had cycled and we were planning on telling them that night as we celebrated my birthday dinner with them, which we ended up cancelling) that I'm SURe that adoption got brought up in their discussion. They've been mentioning it to us (mostly me) for years. I'm not against it.. but neither one of us are there yet. Apparantly we're gluttons for punishment and torture! I have never been more afraid of the unknown...

Same here, but the reverse
I'm not at all optimistic, excited, etc at any level. I'm just desperately waiting for time to pass and hoping we just happen to get a miracle. Yet, I'll be absolutely SHOCKED if we do.

We should just screw both our bodies up and carry for eachother!
I HATE that you feel that way, yet it's how I feel thru each cycle, so I KNOW the feeling. It's like you become numb to it... You just go thru the motions.

What not give the beholden a try? My linings were better with it. I believe you said you have to use bcp right? Bc of your ovulation? I did better all around with no bcp, they KILLED my lining!

I think I have to use the pill, he gave me some reason for it yesterday, I don't know.. .I feel like I don't know officially where I stand right now. I feel like there's still a lot of unknown and no definitive plan.

Re: If you did an FET...
I did a natural or unmedicated FET. Basically, there is no prep cycle, you start with CD 1 and are given no drugs at all except a trigger shot and P4 and E2 in the 2ww. I think you have to ovualte on your own and make a good lining to do this however. With respect to your lining...have you tried red raspberry leaf tea in the follicular phase? Mamy people use it to help lining issues. GL!!

I don't have a natural cycle so that's not a possibility but red raspberry leaf tea is something I have not tried yet. Thanks! I'm definitely going to try that this time.

Re: If you did an FET...
This was my second unmedicated FET. I was put on Estrogen patches on day 5 to prevent me from ovulating, and progesterone suppositories on day 14. Transfer was day 19.
I have a great lining, so that wasn't an issue (we're dealing with male factor).
Have you called Dr. Li's office? I found him to be MUCH more knowledgeable than Andy (no offense to anyone that uses him), I really think he could help you! He would also know if there are any herbs that you could take. And if your insurance covers it it's a HUGE bonus! I've been going 3x a week because I only have a $5 copay.

I know.. I know!! I decided at this point I am definitely not going back to Andy. As far as trying someone new, I just hate change. I know I should give it a try at least once....... I keep going back and forth on what I wanna do.
Pressure me into calling tomorrow I think I need that extra nudge!!
