If you are looking for a special gift for dc

When I was a kid my grandmother would get each grandchild a prism on their first communion and tell us how even though we didn't live nearby she thought of us all the time and now we could see her happy thoughts every day when the rainbows were in our room.

When I had Sarah and then Andy she got them Swarovski window ornaments at Fortunoff since she knew she most likely wouldn't see their communions. The Swarovski store in Rosevelt Field only had christmas ones.

Sarah gets so excited every morning when she sees the rainbows. She tries to touch them, and she is starting to figure out that when her head is in the way if she moves it the rainbow will "come back" etc. It's so fun, every sunny morning I wake up to her naming all the colors she sees.

Just thought I'd share in case anyone was looking for something unique for their dc.
