Looking for a gift for a good friend
Anyone read any exciting bios of famous politician or historic figures, anything political (non propagandistic) or something about history of Judaism lately?
It can even be one book combining all those topics
I am looking for a gift for a friend and would love some recommendations!

Blanche Wiesen Cook's series on Eleanor Roosevelt is excellent
"A History of God" by Karen Armstrong is a very good, interesting read
"American Sphinx: Thomas Jefferson" by Joseph Ellis is good
Different than what you are asking but "The Kite Runner" is an amazing book!
