I am a vegetarian, DH is not. DH is adamant about letting her eat meat. I agreed, because hey- as long as I don't have to eat it, I am ok with that. She will probably not be given red meat, only chicken or turkey and I will try to make sure it is only organic that she gets.

Im not a vegitarian but I do not eat red meat. DH loves red meat but we dont buy it unless theres a day where he wants to throw a steak on the grill which is not too often. He always eats it when we eat out. I dont care if DS eats it because its not very often at all but Im never the one to feed it to him. Im hoping he sways away from it when he is old enough to make that choice (like I did when I was little).

If you are a vegetarian and DH is not...
i don't eat red meat but my dh does. I let my sons eat meatballs from the freezer that are red meat but if i make them they are turkey. For now i try to hide what i don't eat from my kids because i want them to try lots of different foods

I'm a vegetarian (I eat dairy/eggs) and my DH is not. We are raising our DD as a vegetarian. I am always the one home with her and cooking for her etc.... I would not be able to feed her meat/fish. She is almost 2 1/2 years old now and it has never been an issue for us. But my DH doesn't eat breakfast, eats a huge lunch and is rarely hungy for dinner. When he does eat dinner at home it is often after she goes to bed. If he does eat meat and she asks to try it we say no it's not for you----just like when she asks to try my hot coffee, spicy foods, etc.... She has learned that not all food is for her to eat. She is thriving on a veggie diet and my DH and I have no regrets about raising her that way....

T this. Ds eats chicken turkey and fish. No red meat. But not everyday and mostly organic. We don't give him milk though. Yogurt and Cheese yes, but almond milk.

I am a vegetarian, DH is not. DD is mostly vegetarian (but has had fish a few times). Even though DH is not a vegetarian, all the meals I prepare are, so if he eats meat it is either when we go out, or if he cooks it for himself (rarely).

this is pretty much us.
DD has had meatballs that my mom makes..she likes them and I'm fine with her eating them. I do make turkey meatballs tho and she likes those as well. She is 2.5 and refuses to try any other meats. So she pretty much only eats chicken nuggets/cutlets.
I don't eat red meat because I don't like the taste of it.

im a vegetarian DH is not. Im raising my child to eat meat - i think he should be able to make the decision himself when he gets older as that is what i did...

I eat all types of meat-DH does not. But he believes in letting our kids eat what they want and making their own decisions when their older if they want to stop eating meat like him or not.
So our kids will still eat meat...However it's not often because i'm not into cooking seperate meals on a regular basis. Just really when I'm out.
