Idea for Wine Tasting In June What to bring Food wise??
I need some ideas we are going wine tasting in June 8 of us. I want some ideas food wise that I can bring we are going to be doing a picnic so I want food that can last and doesn't need to be heated or anything
Come on Ladies bring on the ideas

When we go we usually pack a cooler full of crackers, gorgonzola cheese, fresh figs, olives, tomatoes/mozzerella, cheddar/pepperoni/little salami thing, and a fruit salad with grapes, kiwi, pineapple, melon, etc.

We usually do the cheese and crackers, fruit, sometime 7 layer bean dip with tosidos thing! Finger foods are best!

i usually make a spinach dip with fresh veggies to dip or wheat thins, we bring little sandwiches, some fresh fruit and cheese and usually a little dessert, like cookies.

i was out at Laurel Lakes this weekend and i saw some people with a great spread...besides the obvious cheese and crackers, they had hummus and flat bread...you could also bring some tabouleh and crackers...we made babaganoush last summer and brought that. it traveled well and was yummy (a little bit of a mediteranian theme, right?). pasta salad would work well too. have fun!

There is a fantastic cheese shop on Love Lane in Mattituck (The Village Cheese Shop) and we always stop there for cheese (duh), olives, their delicious black olive/rosemary baguette and some sliced cured meats. Feel free to ask for a taste of the cheeses to help you decide--they're so helpful & have always made great recommendations to us!
