I wonder if my body will ever go back to normal

I'm now 4 weeks pp and 5 pounds heavier than my pre-pregnancy weight. I never gained weight in my face, arms, and legs so that hasn't changed much before or after pregnancy. However, my middle area just looks off. It just seems saggy and ugly.

Can't help but wonder if I will ever go back to normal. I can't imagine ever wearing a bikini ever again. It's so depressing.

It took 9 months to get that way, you have to give it time to go back. With some work I'm sure you can get it back. Or you can be like me and embrace your new flabby body

my tummy/midsection will never be the same. Like you, I didn't really gain weight anywhere else, but my stomach got basketball big. I find that working out does help it, but never what it was

First of all you are only 4 weeks pp. Give yourself, and your body a break! After all you just gave life to somone

I tried joining Jenny Craig at 5 weeks pp and I had to get my doctors approval since they only allow you to start 6 weeks pp.

There are many women who end up having better bodies (w/ a lot of hard work) than pre baby. If you want it you will get there! Give yourself some time to heal first and enjoy your new little miracle.

I think you are doing GREAT! That is amazing at that point in time!

I gained 30lbs, was in good shape (exercised alot - ran and pilates) prior to getting pg and normal weight. I was told I was all belly - never swelled up etc.

I now weigh a few pounds less than I did pre-preg however my body is COMPLETELY different. I will hoenstly say that it may be largely attributable to not having time to exercise alot - I exercise when I can with DS - when it is nice we walk or jog and I will do arms and abs next to him sometimes when he plays. However, I'm not comfortable leaving him in a gym daycare and don't have a regular babysitter so this is the best I can do.

So, no, even though I can wear most of my pre-preg clothes, my body never REALLY went back DESPITE getting back to my normal weight BUT, it might have if I had vigorously exercised...

It takes time !! With #1 it took me a few months after #3 there my body will never be the same

I am still 12 lbs over my PP-weight. However, it's my own fault...........I eat unhealthy every day and haven't really exercised at all.

im 9 months pp and 20lbs heavier then before i got pregnant (i gained 60 lbs). i needed that extra 20lbs before i got pregnant anyway so im not stressing about that but i find that my bone structure is wayyy different now. my hips are very wide, i have problems finding pants that fit my hips and arent saggy on my butt and legs. so i wouldnt stress the number on the scale cuz u can be 10lbs lighter then ur pre pregnancy weight and still be a few sizes bigger.

I'm right there with you!! I'm so depressed about my body. I have never had a flabby belly, so this is really hard for me. I gained weight in other places as well, but my mid-section upsets me the most. I can't find anything to wear without having to hide myself. The worst part is my belly went down really fast after the baby, and is not that big. The problem is I have lost all my muscle and my belly is just mush. I get muffin top with whatever I wear.

I guess we just have to hit the gym, and eat healthy. Hopefully are bodies will bounce back.
