i woke up with a terrible sore throat and . . .
yellow mucus coming from my nose and mouth. my throat feels like its on fire when i swallow. i'm so afraid its strepe. but i think it may be just a cold since the mucus is yellow and not green. what do you ladies think?

I would just make sure you stay hydrated, rest, try and blow your nose a lot and get as much out as you can and if you are not feeling much better tomorrow call dr.

If you think it's strep, you should probably get tested for it. There is a preggo safe antibiotic they can give you to knock it right out. I had to do this a few months ago...also DR said Chloraseptic (sp?) was ok

Do you have a fever at all? That's one of the big signs as well.
Call your OB! About a month ago I had strep. I got home from work and had almost 102 and was completely freaking out. Since my sister and kids all had strep, they told me to come in the next day for a test. Luckily I worked from home the whole week and as soon as the test came back positive, they put me on antibiotics.
Most importantly, get some rest and feel better!!!

hi ladies. thanks for the advice and well wishes. i still feel like crap, but i'm going to work then calling the dr as soon as soon as she opens. i'll probably only last a half day. i just took my temp and its normal so hopefully thats a good sign that its just a annoying head cold.
