I wish I could relax
I am 5w3d and am obsessed with checking my underwear for spotting and feeling my boobs to see if they're still sore. Yesterday after trying to go to the bathroom because I'm so constipated lately , I noticed a small line of pink cm and freaked out. Now this morning I'm feeling like my nipples aren't sore anymore. I'm just so terrified of another m/c and can't seem to let that feeling go

Re: I wish I could relax
This is normal even if you didnt have the MC. And I still feel that way some days and I am 15 weeks.
Try to relax as much as possible.

Re: I wish I could relax
I am 24 weeks now and I still check my underwear for blood like a crazy lady I am still petrified of something happening to my lil bean, it got better after my 20 week appt but I'm still nervous often. The m/c took a lot out of me and it makes me so sad that I can't just enjoy my pregnancy. Hang in there! It gets easier the further along you are..

Re: I wish I could relax
I am almost 17 weeks and STILL check the TP everytime I go. It's so scary after having had 2 MC already. I want to just enjoy it and not be afraid but its impossible. You are definatley not alone.

My boobs are sore and I look everytime I go to the bathroom as well. I have been taking hpts every few days. I'm off to target on my lunch hour to go buy some more. This baby is already costing me a fortune lol.

Re: I wish I could relax
youre going to feel that way for quite awhile, its normal after a loss.
what you need to stop doing is stop overthinking symptoms like boob soreness. those symptoms are fairly arbitrary and will come and go throughout your pregnancy. even if you were to miscarry you'd still have pregnancy symptoms until your HCG was low, so they are not a valid indicator of anything. so while im not going to say "relax" (cause i know thats super annoying to hear), just try to focus on other things and be positive. unless you have diagnosed issues relating to miscarriage, you really have no reason to assume this will end poorly. just focus on the positive, you are pregnant!!

Re: I wish I could relax
almost 14 weeks and some days I don't "feel" pregnant. Boobs don't get sore everyday, my nausea is gone, and I feel pretty normal. I stressed out in the beginning too, you have to keep your mind off things until you see your litte one at your next sono.
ETA: I m/c a few yrs ago and had the same fears this time around. But at some point in your pregnancy you will feel that everything is going to be ok.

Re: I wish I could relax
Thank you all so much for your words of encouragement. I'm trying my best to let it go because what's meant to be will always be. I do have faith that everything happens for a reason and will have to just try harder to relax. It does help to know though that I'm not the only one feeling this way

Re: I wish I could relax
I'm right there with you. The doctor and nurses explained to me that these feelings are very common after a miscarriage :(
People who haven't had a loss say they understand because they worry too but I can't believe that it is the same for them no matter what they say. 9 weeks into my first pregnancy vs 9 weeks into this pregnancy have been totally different experiences. Yes, I worried the first time around but nothing like this. The fear factor is real now.
I wish I had advice but I don't. Just try to stay calm and keep positive. I do the same thing with symptoms. For me I worry about my nausea coming and going. It's hard.
