I Wanna Scream!

TCOYF has my estimated O day as the 30th with is CD27. (Even though last cycle I O'd CD21 ) FF is saying I "possibly" O'd on CD21. What is up?

Oh and to make matters worse I found out last night that my friends younger sister is PG for the third time by a third guy.

first of all

1. according to my ob it is very common for girls to O later around the holidays. i am late around the holidays almost every year. he said it is the holiday stress, running around and eating/drinking that can contribute to it.

2. did you use opks? if so, when did you get your +?

3. what was the first day your temps rose and stayed up for at least 3 days? when did you have EWCM? I wouldn't depend solely on the websites to determine O date if you had any other symptoms.

4. i had the same issue this past month. f had me Oing on CD 12 and TCOYF had me Oing on CD 10. Part of the discrepancy is that TCOYF acknowledges a smaller temp rise than FF. Also, TCOYF uses the FAM method (which includes CM and cervical position), while with FF you can set it to different methods. Depending on
the method you set it for it could result in a changed O date. Finally, if you just started using them, they both predict your next O date and start of period based on past data. If there is not enough data, i think they use the standard 28 day cycle until they have enough data to use your average timeframes.

I would honestly use OPK's and not go by a website. Your body can change every month and OPK's at least gives you a good idea of when you are about to O.

Also go by your CM, now that I am watching my body more, I noticed that I 100% get EWCM right before I get on the OPK.

Thanks ladies! I don't actually go by the website. I just use it to log my stats. TCOYF isn't a website just a software program. I don't use OPK's anymore as I have found them VERY unreliable and they can't tell you that you did O only that you MAY O in the next couple of days. I totally agree with just tuning into to the signs your body gives, however my body has been sending mixed signals! I'm thinking the whole holidays thing may be correct!

I know- I tell you EVERY year I am late around the holidays!! TTC is just a total PITA
