I think something may be wrong with our cat -UPDATE-

We came home from dinner tonight and Edgar is just not himself. Very lethargic and sleeping a lot. When we pick him up he's a bit limp and extremely tired. He seems to be eating, drinking and going to the bathroom normally. We are a bit worried and not sure what to do...Has anyone experienced this with their animal before?

Just FYI: He is about 3 years old and very healthy. We recently changed his food because he was getting a bit chubby. As far as we can tell he hasn't gotten into anything poisonous or harmful

Update: He seems to be a lot better this morning..eating and drinking a lot! Maybe it was dehydration or a stomach ache or something He still is a bit sleepier then normal though...still a bit nervous about him ...

My cat had something like this - it was dehydration even though she seemed to be drinking. She just wasnt drinking enough. A couple of IVs of fluid at the vet perked her right up.

Could it have been the heat?
My cats get super lethargic when it's hot out.
They have that fur coat to contend with!
