What's wrong with my cat???? UPDATE 4/2

Every single day my cat is meowing by the door before I can even put the key in. I love it so I always call her name before I open the door and she meows like crazy. Today I didn't hear anything.

So I go inside our apartment and she's nowhere to be found. I think maybe we locked her in the bathroom by accident, but not there. I shake her food, nothing.

Finally about 10 minutes later I see her little head peak out from under the couch. It takes another 10 mins of me calling her in my squeaky voice for her to come over to me. She's all crouched down and has a fat tail but wants to be pet. She keeps looking around like she was spooked by something.

5 mins later she's back under the couch. She hasn't been under the couch since she was little and can hardly fit.

What happened to her????

It's been an hour and she's still under there.





UPDATE 4/2: I'm going in late to work today and all of a sudden I hear a couple of guys put ladders up to our building. As soon as my cat heard that she ran under the bed! They are now working on our roof and it sounds like they are IN the apartment... that must have freaked her out! I hope they aren't doing this all week. I feel so bad for my belle!

Maybe she heard something outside the window and she is scared.

Has she moved yet?

She came out to eat but keeps looking over by the living room like she sees/hears something but nothing is there.

Maybe they were doing some construction outside or something... but the outside noise usually never bothers her, she loves being by the windows.

I would keep an eye on her...maybe she isn't feeling well.
Or she may have been spooked by a loud noise or something.
