I think I must have spent over $200 on copays and prescriptions this winter
I am so sick of bringing the kids to the Dr already.
They were fine until January, and BAM, every other week one was sick.
Ryan just went on Friday for ANOTHER ear infection and croup AGAIN... and now Erin is going tonight for a constant cough and a BAD flare up of eczema.

do you have Flex Spending at your job? You can save a lot of $$ this way!
ETA: I HATE co-pays too! I hate that I have to think twice before bringing my kid to the doc because it is going to cost another $20! Terrible to think that way, but I have to

Yes, and I will be taking advantage of this next time around. My kids have NEVER EVER been the Dr this much before.. this was just a BAD season for us. Ryan started school for the first time so I guess all those germs really did a number.

We are so lucky in the UK, on the NHS prescriptions for anyone under 16 are completely free.

I'm with you! DD has been sick an insane amount of times and is usually on 2 prescriptions each time. Last sickness it was 3.

I know what you mean. I had to add up our receipts last year for our tax man. We spent $3700 on copays and precriptions for just me and DS. That doesn't even count the money we put toward having healthcare.

Re: I think I must have spent over $200 on copays and prescriptions this winter
We're averaging about $500 a month for doctor's office co-pays and prescriptions for 3 of us. It kills me that there is an insulin pup out there that would control my husband's diabetes better. It's been out for at least 2 years, very few plans cover that one and it's like having a cell phone where they only cover a new one when the contract is out on your old one. Now I need to start physical therapy.
