I spent the afternoon/evening in L&D...
So my afternoon started off with a doctor's appt at 3:30. My BP was high when I got there 136/96. The nurse did the strep test and the doctor checked the heartbeat and everything was fine. He wanted me to relax a bit and have the nurse take my BP again. So she did and my BP was about the same. The doctor said he wanted me to have some bloodwork done and monitor my BP because there were also traces of protein in my urine, so he was sending me to Labor and Delivery at the hospital. So I said ok. I got to Stony Brook at about 4:30 pm. I got checked in and went to a triage room. They took my BP which was high 146/90 at this point and setup an IV and took some blood to run some tests. They monitored my BP for about 3 hours. It went up and down but wound up at 125/75 when I left at around 8:20 pm.
So now I have to do a 24 hour urine sample tomorrow (so no work for me) and drop the urine off at the hospital on Friday (which I am off already). I need to call my doctor tomorrow and find out when they want me to come in on Tues (unless they have hours on Mon.) So that was my afternoon and that will be my day tomorrow.
The doc at the hospital did a quick sono and said everything with the baby looks great. Amniotic fluid is fine, the heart rate is fine, everything seems great. I have to say I am nervous. I will be 36 weeks on Saturday. I really didn't think there was a chance that Baby Powers would come this early. But I guess I just have to wait and see.

Hang in there.. as my dr. appt was almost the same on tuesday.... Dr pushed my 36 week appt a few days earlier to this Friday... Hope my BP didnt go up... !! Good Luck at ur next appt!!
