I really hate people today
And I'm not talking to anyone on the phone anymore. My family has just totally disappointed me through this whole thing. We told our families when we started IVF what was going on because we felt that we needed the extra emotional support. And now my family when I need them the most are just being complete azzholes. My mother doesn't understand why I'm so upset... Ummm hello... I'm PREGNANT and about to miscarry! W T F???? what's not to get about that?
Then my step-mother (who is a therapist mind you) tells me today that it sounds like I'm over reacting and that she can't understand why I'm so devasted about this. Again, I'll say W T F?????? I think I could somewhat understand if it were my father, because I know men think and feel differently, but for women to say that to another woman..... I just can't understand.
How in the world am I over reacting about having a miscarriage?
I'm done.. I'm not telling them anymore. They can ask all they want about when I am cycling again, but my answer will be "when we're ready" No more sharing what's going on. DH is on phone duty from now on, I'm not talking to anyone.

I'm so sorry that they reacted that way. I find my Mom not really understanding sometimes. It's very frustrating.
What do the doctors say at this point? You are off the progesterone...are you still waiting?
I keep saying I'm not telling anyone anything and then I find it's the only thing I talk about. Which is why I don't and haven't called anyone in a long time.
Vent vent vent...that is what we are here for.

I am so sorry your family is not giving you the support you need. I have found that unfortunately, many people who have not gone through think that an early miscarriage is not a big deal. THey can't understand the loss - to them you were never "really" pregnant. I have gotten this feeling from a few people.
I'm also sorry you have to wait for the miscarriage. Luckily I started bleeding the night I stopped the progesterone, so I didn't have to wait around for it to happen. I can't imagine how horrible that must be.

OMG Michelle, i can't believe they both said that! I am so surprised and so disappointed in them. From now on you and DH should def keep it to yourselves, you don't need to hear crap like that, even if its from family Has your sis been a support for you atleast?

I'm sorry ...I guess thats why these forums exist, at least we have eachother because it definately seems like the outside world is clueless when it comes to IF- I especially feel its the older generation because they're motto seems to be "relax and it will happen"- very frusturating ...

I have said it once, and I will say it 100 times ... people who have never experienced IF can't possibly understand what we go through. I am so sorry you are facing this insensitivity. I don't blame you for wanting to isolate yourself. It's so sad that this is what we have to resort to in order to get some peace in our lives.

Unfortunately, this is the very reason why DH and I keep this to ourselves. It's sad but true.

Thanks everyone. What's so disappointing to me is that I am so close to my family, and I'm totally surprised by their lack of sympathy, and quite frankly I'm hurty by it as well. The "Just get over it and move onto the next cycle" I'm getting from them really pizzed me off. I know they don't really understand, but I'm pretty blunt and to the point with them, so I would think they would somewhat get where I'm coming from. I guess it doesn't help that I woke up angry at the world today too.
Thanks everyone for listening to my ranting the past couple of days.
My birthday is coming up next week, and this is by far the suckiest birthday I've ever had.

I am so sorry that you are not getting more support from your family. I agree with others on the board..it seems people who have never gone through IF issues really just have no idea how to react etc...
I have been in your shoes waiting for a MC and i know how devatstaing it is..I found it really catahartic to plant something and know that in time as it grew the pain really does subside a bit.

I am so sorry your family is not supporting you in your time of need now. I completely understand, my father and sister could not understand how I was grieving and the complete disappointment when I lost 2 pregnancies last year.
I found that my friends were more supportive than some of my family. Hang on to them, they will be there for you!

Thank you for saying this. My DH and I talked about this earlier in the week. We just had to have a large tree removed from the front of our house right in front of the windows of our spare room that will eventually become a nursery. We decided to plant something under that window as a rememberance and so that our future childs sibling is always there looking over them.
On another note.. the wait is over, I woke up this morning with the start of it. My RE's office also called and was able to move our appointment with my doctor from April 23rd to this Monday.
