I ran out and bought..
A video monitor. Totally helped me deal with letting him CIO. Part of the problem was the anxiety i felt with not knowing if he was okay in his crib while crying. Tonight was my first night using it and he cried for 20 min and I was totally fine cause I was able to watch him and know he was ok. My DH flipped out when i told him the price of it so then i had to lie and say i had a few coupons... whatever..  He's not the one who has to listen to him CIO at bedtime!!!

 Good for you! I got one too as a gift, but haven't used it yet. Still have my little man in our room. We are just finishing up his room and having new carpet put in. Soon he will be going up stairs in his room and can't wait to try it out. Which one did you pick up?

Arent they the best i have the summer one and yeah it as expensive but so worth it.. If I ever get DD in her crib other than naps it will be even more worth it but we move it all over the house its great and so portable Good luck with the CIO

Love the video monitor! We have the Summer one and I really think it was worth it! Consider the peace of mind a mother's day gift.
