I Quit....
One of my PT receptionists just had her OB send a fax effective immediately that she will not be coming back. She's 31 weeks preggo. And of course, she's supposed to work tomorrow, a late night, and I have no other staff available, and I have to leave by 5 in order to be upstate in time for our hotel reservation. I was going to leave early, clearly that isn't happening. Oh and on top of that, the woman who was supposed to start yesterday to train as her replacement never showed. I'm DONE. I QUIT. I seriously do not get paid enough to deal with this.

I Quit....
That's the territory of being a manager and maybe she really needs to go out. I know it sucks and all, but try to keep some perspective for your sanity and start sending out resumes. I get that it sucks. Maybe leave as you planned. Life happens and if you can't do it, you can't do it, kwim? I don't think I would change my plans or feel im expected to do so.

Oh, I know, and there's more to the story than just that with this one. It was just sort of the icing on the cake, KWIM? I normally don't care about this sort of thing, but I was supposed to leave. lol. The crap I can't deal with is the being treated unfairly for other things.

can you have someone cover? perhaps have them start later/work later- you can cover the front in the AM. or move patients up so you dont have to say late to cover?

I Quit....
Awww! You are so sweet! :) Yeah, we figured tomorrow and next week out. It just frustrated me so much. I KNEW this was going to happen. She's not well, not listening to her doctors, etc etc. I asked her DAILY if she wanted to move up her leave.
