I promise, last time - side by side before and after pics
Yeah, I know, I'm getting annoying... but this is my life right now so I'm consumed. I took all the before pics and created after pics to compare. The before pics don't show exactly how bad the house was because they were taken a year before we bought it, and a tremendous amount of damage was done in that year. When we bought the house, we couldn't even walk into it without masks on, it was THAT bad. And unfortunately we didn't take any before pics of any of the other bedrooms or the bathrooms, because they really were complete and total hazards... Image Attachment(s):

WOW!!! Was all of that moulding in the basement??? I love moulding but that was a bit much.
As far as the before kitchen. It wasn't a bad spruce up job. Obviously older cabinets and added the granite and decorative mouldings... pretty good update job but I know it's not your taste.
I would love to see the original owners reaction ala "Moving Up" on TLC... you guys did so much work, really changed the entire floor plan of the basement... I'm going to bet they would be one of those families that would FLIP out
Everything looks great.
And how in the heck does Gadi have this much energy??? Isn't this house #3 in 5-6 years... or 4 houses if you count the one near Temple. Can I have whatever he's on???

PURE energy baby!!! This is house #4 in 6 years if you count the Temple property! And we have two more shells he is starting to talk about renovating in the next year 
So... yeah, that's ALL molding, and by the time we got the house it was covered in black mold and the ceiling over it was so damaged by a leak in the bathroom above that it literally fell on Gadi's head when he started demo. And the whole space BEHIND the molding was an old garage that was converted, but never renovated so it was just a large, concrete, unused space. We turned that into the large family room downstairs, and made the former family room, with the bar, and all the grotesque moldings, into a mudroom, guest bath and bedroom.
The kitchen was OK, but these people lived in such squalor that it was just covered in total FILTH. I couldn't fathom using anything they had used, because it was so disgusting. I wouldn't touch ANYTHING without gloves and wouldn't even go into the house without a mask!! And everything was infested with roaches and fleas, so we basically had to strip down the house and build it back up...

What a transformation! Such a beautiful home you've created; so light and cozy. Enjoy the fruits of your hard work!
P.S. I have the same tile floor in my kitchen.

They had roaches and fleas!? How do people live like this? I'm sure that must have been so tough for you to take on, we had a flying ant in the nursery this morning and I screamed until DH came in and saved the day lol. I couldn't imagine a house full of pests. Yuck.

This particular floor is laminate, though the rest of the house is wood floors. It was originally a very light colored wood so DH sanded it down and stained it a dark cherry color. We didn't think real wood floors would be all that practical in the basement area, so we put in a laminate to match the rest of the flooring. I'll ask him tonight the name and make and get back to you...
