My sister just went through this exactly...
Her last menstrual period was on 10/31 and she didn't get her period by 12/8, so she tested. Got a BFP and assumed she was one month PG.
When she went to the OB, they did a sono - no heartbeat, she was measuring around 4 weeks...two weeks later they had a heartbeat and she measured 6 weeks.
She thought she ovulated on 11/14 or so, but apparently it was around 11/27.
If you have irregular cycles, it's highly likely that this is the problem.

I will tell you that for the first month of my pregnancy I was consistently measuring behind on my OB's ultrasound machine, by a little over a week. She said not to worry, that my dates must have been off, but it had me so nervous. I felt like my due date kept moving back every time I went. Then I finally went for my ultrascreen at Madonna, and on their more advanced machines it confirmed my original dates and everything was fine.
I'm hoping everything will be fine for you.

ok so this stuff happens to so many ppl and everything works out....remember it was ur first visit....try try try not to overanalyze things....go in on friday with confidence that everything is gonna be ok....its prob just ur late cycle and everything was thrown off bc of it...and as for the pains they could DEFINITELY be trapped gas like u said bc i was one big ball of gas and tmi diarrhea at this time in the pregnancy ....i love u and im gonna call u today to talk about things....
