I need LOTS of prayers today UPDATED 12/31
If this is really true, it'll make for SOME story.
I'm just about to start on the Metformin/Clomid journey. My RE gave me Provera so that I can start AF, which I haven't seen since the first week of Sept. She made me PROMISE to POAS before I take the first pill, because "stranger things have happened".
So this morning, as I continuously  at the idea of wasting a test (I know I'll be needing them!), I POAS. Wait 3 minutes. Glance at it, almost throw it out. Look again. There is the VERY FAINTEST HINT, and I mean HINT, of a line.
DH sees it, too.
Now I am kicking myself for not using the digital, but you guys know the story--they're too expensive. I wasn't about to waste one when I haven't had AF for 4 months, I've been tested and re-tested about 5 times by various doctors, who all say BFN, and I'm ready to bring AF on.
So, I guess what I'm asking from all of you is...prayers, and lots of them!! I didn't have the foresight to PIAC instead, because I was literally just going through the motions. Now I have to wait until tomorrow to try the digital.
Please send those  and that  my way!!!! I know this is probably nothing--but if it's something, I will actually start going to church every week!!!!! 
UPDATE: 8:00pm
I "held it in" for about 5 hours and decided to take the plunge and test using the digital.
BFN.
I'm not really upset over it. I don't really believe that it COULD be positive. BUT, I will retest tomorrow morning and update again. I'm also going to make another appt. w/ the RE for tomorrow so I can have the bloodwork done, just to double check.
UPDATE 12/31:
Tested again with the FRER this morning. BFN.
Thanks to all of you for checking up on me. I called the RE and she said with the negative FRER and the negative digital this morning, to go ahead and take the Provera.
Surprisingly, I'm not upset--I knew in my heart this wasn't it. I know that it really WOULDN'T have been possible.
Thanks, ladies--I really don't know what I'd do without all of your support!  to all of us in 2008!

I know you're not going to like this suggestion, but I would test again today w/ another brand, maybe even a digital. It's worth it to know in my opinion. You might be able to get them on sale.

BUT, if there isn't a "pregnant" on the digital, don't automatically start the Provera. I would call your Dr. and tell her what happened and see if you can come in for a beta. You may be pregnant, but still not have enough HCG in your body to register on a digital.

I agree with Gerty, see if you can go in for a beta!!
Also - my hint - I always pee into a plastic disposable cup, that way, if something like that happens, I still have FMU to test with. If that helps at all.

I got my bfp on a dollar tree test in the middle of the day,the same day I had a bfn with fmu, dh came home with a digital about an hour later, and pregnant showed up within seconds

Go buy another test....my digital didn't show positive for a few days but I kept getting faint lines wiith Clearblue easy.

First Response. There's a whole other story with that particular box of pregnancy tests, but...I don't want to jinx anything today.
Could this really be happening??!!! I checked the expiration date on the test about 3 times because I just don't believe this could ever POSSIBLY happen...

I got a very faint positive with FMU. I didn't use the bathroom for 5-6 hours and then took a digital, and the digital said Pregnant. If you do decide to test withtout FMU just try to hold it in longer than usual!

Update: I'M DYING OVER HERE!!!!!
DH is just like, "please don't get your hopes up, I don't want you to be upset if it comes out negative".
This would TRULY be the "immaculate conception"!!!!!

I keep checking your post to see if you've tested again. My DH always says the same thing too,its like they're hardwired to not let us get too ahead of ourselves!!

Awwww thanks...I keep checking to see if anyone has any other advice for me!
I think I'm going to take Gerty's advice and call the RE to schedule bloodwork. I will definitely test with the digital first thing in the morning--it's so hard to wait that long!!!!!!

Good luck! I would probably test with the digital and a FRER but I'd PIAC. I would also agree, call the RE for a beta to be sure before starting Provera. If it is a BFP, do you know when you conceived? Just wondering.. to know if it is early to test yet.

I actually used the FRER this morning--that's when I got that line (and I use the term "line" VERRRRRY loosely--I mean, it's SO light that DH really thinks that it could be something wrong with the test). I just literally CAN'T believe that it could be positive...
...it's still sitting on the counter in the bathroom, and I keep looking at it, holding it up to the light, etc. The last time I went to the bathroom was at 3:15 and I'm wondering if I should just test now...
